We are QByte Studios, an indie game development company built on passion, creativity, and collaboration. Founded in Victoria, Australia in 2024 and we're a passionate team of over 20 dedicated individuals who share a love for gaming and a drive to bring unique, immersive experiences to players everywhere.

QByte Studios began with a simple yet ambitious goal: to create games that push boundaries while maintaining a deep connection to the gaming community. With a team spread across various disciplines, we aim to craft experiences that challenge, entertain, and inspire.

Jesse-James Horne (Vengeful) – CEO & Founder

Jesse-James Horne is the founder of QByte Studios, driven by a "Players First" philosophy that prioritizes performance, quality, and innovation. With a background in programming and game development, he’s currently studying a Bachelor of Information Systems and holds a Cert III & IV in IT (Game Development). As a dual Australia–New Zealand citizen, he’s strategically expanded the studio’s international footprint through partnerships and growth initiatives.

D. I. JOLLY - Lead Narrative Desigher

Multi-award-winning author D I Jolly confessed that he wanted to be an author since the age of seven, thanks to a video game called Gabriel Knight. But it wasn't until he was 23 that he would finish his first book, the comedic noir style detective novel 'A Guy, A Girl and A Voodoo Monkey Hand'.

Since then, he's moved away from humour and tends to tackle more serious topics under the guise of more pop-culture focused themes and genres. He has also worked on a number of different games as both a story writer and narrative designer. Alongside his novels D. I. Jolly founded a monthly short story reading event called Poetry Club which he also hosts.

Jake Favotto – Head Visual Effects Artist

Based in Sydney, NSW, Jake holds a Bachelor of 3D Design & Animation and brings his passion for VFX and animation in both games and movies to QByte Studios. Skilled in Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Blender, ZBrush, and the Adobe Creative Suite, Jake leads the VFX team and oversees character animation and simulation effects such as pyro, particles, fluids, and rigid bodies.

Koby Eberhardt - Head Concept Artist

Koby is a 21 year old Concept artist with a background in 2D animation, Koby is eager to improve on his storyboarding, and character design. With a bachelors in Animation and Design at JMC, Koby is currently leading the Qbyte Concept art team with a focus on unique visual storytelling

Arjav Malla – Head Animator

Arjav Malla is an Australian 3D animator with a strong foundation in both 2D and 3D animation, currently leading the animation team at QByte Studios on the upcoming zombie survival shooter Nanites. Holding a Media Arts (Honours) degree from UNSW and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Animation) from JMC Academy, Arjav expertly blends technical precision with creative storytelling in games and cinematic projects.
